I'm always thinking of ways to reward my customers who support my company.
So we came up with a promotion scheme whereby customers who send their pets for 6 grooming sessions will get 1 FREE. They need not pay upfront for the 6 sessions therefore it's not a package deal like what the beauty spas are forcing their customers to do.
We also do not give a time frame for the 6 sessions to be completed because we understand the fact that some breeds of dogs do not need a lot of grooming.
Till today, we still honour groomings done years before such as those from 2005, 2006, etc. However, everything comes with rules and regulations so that people do not abuse the promotion. We require 6 stampings on 1 promotion card to prove that the dog has really come for 6 grooming sessions prior to providing the FREE grooming. This also promotes loyalty from our regular customers.
Somehow, people tend to be forgetful and forget to bring the promotion cards for stamping when they send their pets to our shop for grooming. We therefore came up with a 2nd rule, that is to allow customers to combine 2 cards into one with any number of stampings on them so that they can claim the FREE session faster.
BUT.......here comes the part when some people forget almost every single time they send their dogs for grooming. They accumulate 5 to 10 cards with a single stamping on each card wanting to combine everything into 1 or 2 full cards to claim for the FREE grooming. We do not allow this because of security reasons. Most of our cards have 1 stamping before being issued to customers. If someone was to steal a stack of promotion cards from our shop and distributes them to different people, then we will have to hohour many FREE sessions for different customers. Secondly, for costing purpose - all cards printed cost money. We wish that our regular customers can help us save a bit by cherishing the promotion card.
We have a lot of good customers who's been sending their dogs for us to groom and in return, enjoyed the FREE sessions over the past 14 years or so. But there's also the type who's always busy with work and blames the maid and MOTHER for forgetting to pass the card to my driver for the stamping. Argued with us for not telling them about the rules and regulations and wanting to twist our rules to please themselves. Threatening to stop sending their pets to us for grooming and boycotting our shop.
I don't feel sorry for these people. But I feel sorry for their pets.
If they really care for the pet and not the MONEY, they will not act like this. We've done a lot of combination of cards to help customers get their FREE sessions. Why can't "these group of people" just bear with it like others and claim the FREE session properly??
Have they even thought that if their customers are doing this to them, what'll they do in return? I bet with their character, it'll also be difficult for their customers to deal with them too.
Poor dogs.

Why people give up their pet dogs.
When someone comes to me and want to give up their pet dogs, I do not ask them for the reason.
The answer is simple - they will not tell you the whole truth.
But for some reasons, I won't mind.
My duty is to find the poor dog a new owner who can take good care of it.
There's only one type of people I don't like.
People who give up a dog to me and go get or buy another one almost immediately !!!
